If you’re an average person, you probably don’t have a will, and you’ve been meaning to get one for a long time. Maybe you didn’t know where to start, or were afraid it would cost too much. I am an Ivy League educated attorney and I am offering to do the following three documents for you for $250 per person:
1. Last Will and Testament (determining where your assets go when you die)
2. Financial Power of Attorney (allowing someone you trust to take care of your assets in the event you no longer can do so yourself)
3. Medical Directive and Power of Attorney (allowing someone you trust to make decisions about your care in the event you no longer do so yourself)
If you email me at [email protected], I’ll send you a letter explaining the terms of my engagement, meaning I will charge you $250. You’ll have to sign that letter and return it to me.
I will then send you a questionnaire that will enable me to draft these documents for you. I’ll email them to you for your review, and then I’ll make whatever corrections and changes you want. If need be we’ll talk on the phone, or you can come to my office or I can meet you somewhere convenient. When the documents are finalized, you’ll have to take them (and your witnesses) to a notary.
I will bill you only when the documents are finalized and you’re satisfied with them. You can pay me by PayPal, Venmo, or by check.
If your situation is too complicated and I can’t handle it for some reason (which hasn’t happened yet!), I’ll tell you and recommend that you seek other legal counsel.
